for everyone

books or publications i wanted to see in the shelves of a future photography museum of the philippines's library and bookshop:

a philippine album : american era photographs 1900 - 1930 by jonathan best.  a treasure found last year at the 26th manila international bookfair at world trade center.

marco polo: a photographer's journey by michael yamashita.  a beautiful travel book won in a raffle organized by national geographic and cathay pacific at shangrila plaza.  a promotion for their series on " the china mystery revealed ."  maybe, the book that led and influenced me to travel.

to be nobody else by john pearson.  "the photographs are very beautiful-humanly and eloquently beautiful.  they have what is rare in still photography-the mobility of film, motion, evanescence, fluidity...your camera has a thousand eyes which are dircted by love and feelings.  ---anais nin   . a rare find i one of my pilgrimages to bookshops.  a fusion, a marriage of images and words.

ansel adams by kate jennings.  a collection of mexico, yosemite prints from the master of zone system.  a peek into his biography, gears, art and exceptional craftmanship.

the print-life library of photography by time life books.  great for those who still loves the darkroom and the scent of fixer, developer and  stabilizer.  a preview on the pioneers on art of printmaking, of alfred stieglitz's visions about photography, his american place, camera work; the photographer as an artist.

america and alfred stieglitz, a collective portrait, published by aperture.  an in-depth look on the evolution of the visionary.

photography like a pro by the editors of photographic magazine with mike stensvold.  a handy companion.

life with father by the editors of life magazine.

photocraft-cool things to do with pictures you love by herter, frankel and lovett.  a gem found in a small but quaint bermuda bookshop.  a great book for photographers who are entrepreneurs as well.

special effects by petersen.

...

what books and publications would you like to add in the list?
