I would like to invite you for a volunteer opportunity this coming April 22 for the celebration of Earth Month. It will be a Coastal Clean Up at the , from 7am to 12 noon.

All volunteers are requested to be properly attired (denims,
long-sleeved shirt, rubber shoes, visors/hats, sunglasses, knitted
gloves) and to bring own cleaning equipment (dustpan, broom, jute sack,
pick stick) for the activity.

We cannot provide transportation, bottled water nor food for the said
activity. Let our participation be a labor of love for Mother Earth. c”,)

the global fund for community foundation seeks to strengthen and promote institutions of local philanthropy around the world so that they can realize their potential as key players in the development process.

The fund makes small grants to develop the capacities of community foundations and other local philanthropic institutions which are grantmakers and which raise funds from local sources.



history:

The Fund emerged in 2006 as a joint initiative of the World Bank, Ford Foundation and Mott Foundation as a mechanism through which to broaden community foundation development globally; USAID, the Kellogg Foundation and a group of established community foundations in North America and Eastern Europe have also provided funding support. The Fund is a project of WINGS and it is hosted by the European Foundation Centre in Brussels.

Since the launch of its grantmaking programme in June 2006, the Fund has made grants amounting to US $1.2 million to 61 organization in 27 countries.
